Last summer, I attended a wellness event that I was very skeptical about. Despite that, I was astounded by the ways wellness can really look different for every person. This led me to think, how can we center this concept around families? I have extensive professional experience working with families in many different settings. In all of my experience, I am continually amazed at how resilient families can truly be and how powerful that is for their connection. We know that positive connections are the cornerstone for learning, growth, and love. In my career, I have attended many different training sessions where I have learned applicable skills and connected with others in the same field. With this idea, I thought, why can’t we offer the same concept for families trying to thrive rather than just survive? In addition to my professional experience, I am a wife and mother of two. I know how each of these hats we wear can be both exhausting and beautiful at the same time. I am extremely passionate about finding ways to provide more education, guidance, and connection to help families in our community be the best versions of themselves, regardless of what hat they are wearing.
